OUR WAX & FRAGRANCES
Each of our candles are carefully crafted, home-made and hand poured in London.
After extensive research and product testing, we here at Mune London decided to use a coconut and rapeseed natural wax blend. Blended in Europe, our wax is made from rapeseed oil and coconut oil and nothing else. Being an eco-friendly wax its vegan, plant-based and completely free from paraffin, soy, palm, beeswax, and synthetic additives.
Coconut and rapeseed wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax making it safer to work with and handle. It also has a clean burn, meaning the candle burns at a more consistent rate. This allows a slower burn compared to paraffin wax allowing the candle to last longer.
Coconut and rapeseed wax is also water soluble, that means with some warm/hot soapy water the wax will dissolve allowing you to reuse your vessel if you choose to.
Our fragrance oils are all of high quality, blended by fragrance experts in France and the UK. Our oils are thoroughly tested for optimal performance and safety.
OUR WICKS
Our premier, all natural, laminated booster wicks are made from native, sappy fruit trees and sourced from certified mills and manufactured with pride in the USA.
Our wooden wicks not only create an ambient glow, but they emit a crackling sound reminiscent of a wood burning fireplace.
VESSELS & PACKAGING
Our vessels are made from glass and can be recycled, or even better, reused. Why not reuse them as a plant pot, storage pot, or cosmetic container? Once your candle has finished simply fill the vessel with some warm/hot soapy water and the wax will dissolve.
During the delivery process our candles are protected using corn starch peanuts. These are 100% biodegradable and non-toxic. To dispose simply run under water and they will melt away. Alternatively, you can pop them on your compost pile.
All cardboard and paper used can be fully recycled.
