LIGHTING YOUR CANDLE
Wooden wicks can sometimes take 10-15 seconds to light. Ensure the whole wick is alight before moving the lighter. Do not worry if once set, small hairline cracks appear on your candles surface. This is quite normal with natural waxes. Coconut & rapeseed wax is very temperature sensitive, so occasionally during the drying process tiny cracks can appear, however, this will not affect the candle in any way.
BURN TIME
To prevent tunnelling and to create a candle memory, burn your candle for 3-4 hours at a time. Never burn for more than 4 hours.
WICK TRIMMING
Always trim your wick before relighting. Trimming the wick will help your candle stay alight, burn evenly, and burn longer. Trim by using a wick trimmer (NOT scissors) or by pinching the charcoal off the wick with a tissue. It's important to do this before each burn as the charcoal can cause the flame to extinguish. Keep your wick length to about 1/4" and keep the wax clean from any charred wood or debris.
